All You Need to Know about the Irish Maritime Festival

Gates open at 11.00am each day, on both Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th will be jam-packed with lots of fun activities. 

·         Ships open for visitors from 11.30am – 3.30 pm  each day … come aboard to explore these fabulous ships. They will be sailing up the river from Mornington on Friday from 11.30am  passing Donor’s Quay at about 12 noon

Children can visit King Neptune’s stage for Billy Bubbles, Magic and the Kids Disco.

Build a sand castle in The Sand Shanty, dig for buried treasure or watch the sand sculpture in action.

Enjoy the all the fun of the fair  vintage carousel rides in Finn MacCool’s Fairground.

Kick back and enjoy live music  all weekend on the Ballast Quay Stage. Times of performances listed below.

Live life like a Norman in the Norman Village.

Marvel at the talented artists in Lir’s World of Art including visiting artist Ryan Mutter.

Take a selfie with a Mermaid and watch out for pirates roaming the Port.

Enjoy  a Taste of Ireland’s Ancient East  with a host of local food producers.

Cookery demos with TV chef Tara Walker 

Chill out with a local craft beer and a great band in the Living Room by Sarsfield’s.

RTE’s hit series “You Should Really See A Doctor” will be filming with Dr Pixie & Dr Phil

Peter Pan Ariel Acrobatic Show  high on the masts of the Tall Ship the Shtandart . 3 shows daily 12.30 pm, 3 pm 5 pm

The Boyne 2.7km Swim starts Saturday at 12.50 pm from Mell finishing at the Boyne Fishermen’s Recue Boathouse.

The Howth to Drogheda Yacht Race starts Howth  9 am on Saturday arriving at the mouth of the Boyne between 12  noon and 1 pm

Meet the fabulous crew of the Irish Coastguard and Boyne Fisherman’s Rescue and learn about all they do.

Admission Prices: children under 12 free of charge, 12-18 €3.00, adults €8.00 and concessions €5.00 (students, OAPs and disabled/carer).

Once on-site all kids activities (except the fairground), music, food and ships activities are free of charge. Hours of fun and activity for all ages at Ireland’s largest maritime event.
