Walk & Talk Through The Dale With Brendan Matthews

Old Drogheda Society

The next Old Drogheda Society Walk & Talk takes place this evening at 7.30 pm, when Brendan Matthews will lead a walk from the Cenotaph, in Mary Street, down to the Dale, where he will talk on the history and natural habitats of this sometimes forgotten area.

Brendan then intends to only go up the 101 steps for 6 or 7 minutes, this is to allow those who may never have seen the stunning views from this side as well as the Cairnes Trust cottages of St. Mary`s.

Those who cannot or do not wish to make it up the steps can stay below until we come back down which will be within 6 or 7 minutes.

Brendan will finish up in St Mary's Churchhof Ireland cemetery, where he will reveal some of his recent research findings, which are extremely interesting.

All are welcome.

Meet at the Cenotaph( war memorial) in Mary Street at 7.25 pm. There is no charge for this "Walk & Talk" but small donations will be accepted.
