See Pearse’s War Communications Tonight ~ Highlanes Gallery

Old Drogheda Society

RTE are currently making a film to commemorate the 1916 Easter Rising. As part of this film there will be a once off an exhibition of Pearse’s war communications, as printed by Joe Stanley, this evening at 6pm in the Highlanes Gallery.

Joe Stanley and his family settled in Drogheda, and he started many businesses including the Boyne Cinema and The Drogheda Argus.

In 1916 he was 26 years old and a part-editor, manager, owner and printer or publisher of newspapers and journals for the republican cause.

He printed all of Pearse’s War Communications and this exhibition will display them for one night only (6pm - 7.30pm).

This is a unique opportunity to see these historic documents.
