What lies beneath our feet: recent archaeological assessments in Drogheda

Reminder, The County Louth Historical & Archaeological Society will hold a lecture tonight at 8pm, Thursday 26th November, in the Governor's House, Millmount which will deal with some recent interesting discoveries in the town.
 
The talk, “What lies beneath our feet: recent archaeological assessments in Drogheda”, will be given by Jon Stirland, of local firm Archaeological Consultancy Services Unit, and will cover aspects of the medieval town discovered at The Mall (Franciscan Friary), Palace Street (Town Wall), Old Abbey Lane (Hospital of St. Mary d’Urso) and at Murdock’s Car Park at the Peace Bridge (Town Wall & riverside tower). 

The lecture is must for those with an interest in Drogheda's past and is open to all. There will be a bookstall on the night.
