The Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and the Office of Public Works now invite the public to make submissions in relation to the draft Management Plan 2015-2025 for the Brú na Bóinne - Archaeological Ensemble of the Bend of the Boyne World Heritage Site (which includes the monuments of Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth).
Submissions should be clearly marked ‘Draft Brú na Bóinne WHS Management Plan’ and may be forwarded by e-mail to - worldheritageireland@ahg.gov.ie or by post to Ms. Catherine Desmond, National Monuments Service, Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Room G50, Custom House, Dublin 1. The Deadline for submissions is 5pm on Friday, March 20th 2015.
Please note that all submissions received may be subject to release under the Freedom of Information Acts and Access to Information on the Environment Regulations. Public Meeting in Relation to the Draft Management Plan. Please also note that as part of the public consultation process a public meeting will be held at the Brú na Bóinne Visitor Centre in Donore, Co. Meath on Thursday February 26th 2015. Officials from the Department will be available to answer questions from 6 to 9pm. A short presentation on the plan will take place at 7pm.
The draft Management Plan (including the associated Appropriate Assessment and screening document for Strategic Environment Assessment) is available to download at the Department’s website (www.ahg.gov.ie) and at the dedicated world heritage website.
Printed copies of the draft plan (and associated documents) are also available to view during office hours from now until Friday, March 20th at the following locations:
