ODS Lecture: Last Call - Unveiling Very Interesting Findings

Old Drogheda Society

In tonight's Old Drogheda Society Lecture in the Governor's House, Millmount at 8pm, Brendan Matthews will unveil some very interesting findings he has uncovered regarding the ruins of the church in St Mary's Churchyard, Mary Street.

Many historians believed that the ruins dated to the 18th century but Brendan has come across new material that suggests that the buildings could be an early medieval building of the Carmelite Monastry established here in the 13th century.

Brendan has put together a fascinating tale of desecration and religious division which should enthral the audience.

There will be a book stall on the night and everyone is welcome.

Turn up, Turn on, Tune in for an evening of intellectual discovery.
